Privacy

This is a personal website. It is not a product, it has no user accounts for visitors, and it does not try to build a profile of you. This page explains exactly what happens to data when you visit, in plain terms.

What this site does not do

There are no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics cookies, no session recording, no fingerprinting scripts, and no data brokers involved. The site sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. Nothing you do here is sold, rented, or shared for marketing purposes, because none of it is collected in a form that would make that possible.

What is collected

The site runs on Cloudflare Workers. As with any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data in order to serve pages and protect the site from abuse: your IP address, the URL requested, the user-agent string, and timing information. This is ordinary server-log data, handled by Cloudflare as the infrastructure provider under its own privacy terms.

The site also uses Vercel Speed Insights to measure page-load performance. It reports aggregate timing metrics — how quickly pages render — and is not used to identify individuals.

Data stored in the browser

The homepage stores a single value in your browser's local storage, hero-bg-index, which remembers which background image to show next so the hero does not repeat on every visit. It never leaves your device, contains no identifier, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Third-party content

Some pages embed content served by third parties: GitHub contribution data, book cover images from Unsplash, and social links. Loading those resources reveals your IP address to those providers, exactly as visiting their sites directly would.

Email and calls

If you email me or book a call, I keep that correspondence so I can reply and refer back to it. Scheduling runs through Cal.com, which processes the details you enter when booking.

Your choices

You can browse without JavaScript — the pages server-render, so the content still works. You can block the third-party resources above without breaking navigation. To ask what correspondence I hold about you, or to have it deleted, email hanzalah.w@gmail.com.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will replace this page. This site is operated by Hanzalah Waheed as an individual, not by a company.
